All started back in the late ’70s when our uncle (a studied marine biologist) pioneered seaweed harvesting (and continue to do so) in northern Baja California, Mexico. At the time, there was a lack of vegan and wholesome snacks with simple ingredients; and knowing the fantastic properties of sea vegetables, he knew he had to come up with something different. After several attempts, the seaweed chicharron was born.
